Oregon Travel Information Council on road tour for meeting

The Council tours I-84 rest areas – holds meeting in Ontario

As part of the Council’s mission to provide statewide travel related services to the public, members of the Oregon Travel Information Council (OTIC) will hold their quarterly meeting in Ontario, OR, on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. The public meeting will be held at the Clarion Inn, 1249 Tapaders Ave, and will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The morning meeting will followed by a tour of the Ontario I-84 highway safety rest area at 11:30 a.m.

Included on the agenda: An overview of the OTE Heritage programs, a Sign Operations Customer Satisfaction report, and the OTE Strategic Planning process.

The public is invited to attend the meeting.

The Council will also tour two other I-84 OTE managed rest areas as part of their van-pool trip from Salem to Ontario. Members of the local communities and the media have been invited to participate in the review of OTE’s travel information centers and rest area improvements.
