IMage of OTE Heritage Tree Program event held at Oregon State UniversityThe weather cooperated for one full hour on Friday, April 6th, so the Oregon Heritage Tree Statewide Dedication went off without a hitch. Although it was breezy and cool, the audience was content.

Joe Majeski (pictured on the left with Tree Committee Chair Jennifer Karps) received the USA Tree Campus Award as part of the ceremony. Majeski helps maintain the OSU grounds and has worked to ensure the health of the 29-year old OSU Trysting Tree 2. The Trysting Tree was honored and a brand new plaque unveiled.

OSU President Ed Ray was on hand to celebrate and the OSU Chamber Choir performed the college’s Alma mater.
