govy_daawg1“Once or twice a month, a group of bikers pass through our rest area at Government Camp,” says Barry Reed, OTE Rest Area Specialist. “What’s unique about this group of motorcycle riders is Tashi.”

Reed explains that Tashi is a rather large (and a bit pudgy) Lab mix who rides side saddle across the back of his owner’s motorcycle.

“Tashi has his own blanket,” says Reed. “And every time he and his owner stop by, Tashi quickly becomes the center of attention for travelers at the rest area.”

govy_daawg2According to Reed, Tashi is paid quite well for posing for snapshots. “He gets a million pats on the head from his admirers,” says Reed.
