Posted on: November 1st, 2016 by Madeline MacGregor in News & Press | No Comments

snowed1A winter-weather advisory is in effect for most of the Willamette Valley on Wednesday, December 14th, from sunrise until midnight. The National Weather Service has upgraded the winter storm watch to a winter weather advisory for snow.

  • Snow accumulations – May be 2 – 4 inches although higher amounts are possible in areas southeast of Salem.
  • Impacts – Roads will be covered in ice or snow and slick, causing difficult driving conditions. Schools may be delayed or canceled. Evening commute may be challenging.
  • Precautions – Periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibility. Use extreme caution.

If you need to be on the roadway, make sure the gas tank is filled, and carry blankets, dry socks, winter boots, gloves, water, and snacks in case your car is stranded or you need to wait for prolonged periods in traffic. For up-to-date road conditions, connect to TripCheck.com.
