Acer saccharinum
This Silver maple, remarkable for its age and size, was planted around 1875 to provide shade for the adjacent log cabin. This historic cabin served as the store for the pioneer-era stagecoach stop that operated here for many years. The tree has enhanced the grounds of Seven Oaks Farm providing shade and respite to customers, school children, farm workers, community members, and five generations of the Bohnert family.
