About Historical Markers

The Tillamook Burn marker represents the site of disatrous forest fires in 1933,1939 and 1945.Markers may be placed to commemorate people, places, events, and geological features. Markers are traditionally placed near roadsides as an educational feature for motorists traveling on our highways.
