From I-84, take exit 248, drive north on old Highway 30 to Oregon Trail Road 1843.

Deep ruts stand as evidence of the emigrants’ strenuous climb over the Blue Mountains. Interpretive signs at the trailhead and along the rutted walking trails tell the story of the emigrants’ crossing.

Open during the summer season only. U.S. Forest Service.
