Fourmile Canyon

From I-84, take exit 137, then drive four miles south on Highway 19, east onto Eightmile Road for five miles, and then two miles to the site on Fourmile Canyon RoadSections of this route follow gravel roads.

This segment of the Oregon Trail was part of the difficult transit of the Columbia Plateau. Interpretive panels explain the site’s deep rut scars and the emigrants’ ascent out of the canyon.
